Availability, and price:
The PentaMetric battery system is available. The first ones will be available in a "limited edition" of 50 units, which are the first production units of this battery monitor system. Bogart Engineering will sell these first ones directly, usually to individuals "one at a time" because They want to maintain close contact with first users to insure adequate support, and also to get the maximum feedback to them about any problems they experience.

These will be available for a preliminary price thru BOGART Engineering , 831-338-0616 of $100 for the input unit, $50 for the computer interface and software, $80 for the LCD display with controls. This is lower than the expected full production retail price of about $419 for the entire system. Tell them you saw it on our website.

Bounty for bugs:
This would be any malfunction that causes it not to work according to the description or that causes operation to cease until power is removed and then restored. Bogart Engineering will pay $100 for the first person to discover any bug, provided they can reproduce the bug themselves. The best way to assure this is to be able to reproduce it yourself, and tell them how to make it happen. However, even if you can't reproduce it, if you describe how it occurred they may be able to figure out what could have caused it based on what you report happened--, and if they can, you will still receive $100. They will list on their website every bug reported and confirmed for which they pay the $100.

• Monitor up to 3 shunts--For example: measure total solar input and wind input independently in addition to monitoring battery "state of charge"
• Access the data with display unit (shown above) with LCD display and buttons up to 1000 feet from batteries.
• Optional computer interface with (Windows) software to control and read out all data.
• Extensive system logged data
• Relay output to control generator or external alarm
• Audible and visual alarms for high and low battery conditions
• Expected system cost from about $260 (with computer interface only) to $419 (with everything)
