Low-Voltage Water Heating Element
These low-voltage water heating elements are used as diversion loads for wind
or hydroelectric systems. Use one or more of these heating elements with a
charge controller designed for load diversion, such as the SCH-18040, C-40 or SCH-18060, C-60, PWM controllers to turn your excess Wind or Hydro power into heating
hot water.
The 1-inch male pipe threads allow it to fit most
electric water heaters with screw-in elements. If your water heater tank is
designed for square flange elements, this adapter is not included You must order
separately, one square flange adapter for each element you use.
This model is available for 12 and 24 VDC
systems. The unit has two elements that can be wired in series, parallel,
or used individually, depending on voltage and desired current draw. This will
allow you to adjust the resistance of the load.
