This state-of-the-art lead-acid battery is the valve-regulated type (often called sealed or maintenance-free), which fixes the acid electrolyte in a gel or in an absorptive fiberglass mat. The advantage of this design is that the battery needs no water additions, can be operated in any position, and can be used in close proximity to people and sensitive equipment. This battery offers heavy duty sealed no-leak design with no-corrosion terminals, higher cranking amps, lower self-discharge and greater vibration resistance.
The Lifeline GPL-4DL is a high performance, Mil-Spec, AGM battery, produced in the United States. Due to the Lifeline Battery's quality construction, it has an industry leading 2% per month self-discharge rate at 77°F (25°C). These batteries off gas only 2% by volume under normal operating conditions, again, industry leading.
