Schneider Battery Temperature Sensor w/ 35' Cable

Schneider Electric's Battery Temperature Sensor (BTS) is specifically designed for use with the C Series Charge Controllers. It was standard on all the older Xantrex SW and P series inverters as well.

The BTS mounts on a terminal post of a battery in a bank or on the side of a battery and measures its temperature. It sends precise information to the charger or charge controller, which automatically adjusts voltage to ensure full battery charge depending on the ambient temperature of your battery installation. It Prevents batteries from overheating if the system has a fault of some kind or in extremely harsh environments Ultimately this will help the over-all life of your batteries, especially if the user has sealed battery technologies.

Battery Temperature Sensor: BTS/15 or BTS/35 Monitors battery temperature and adjusts charging voltage for maximum performance. A 15 ft. (4.5 m) or 35 ft. (11 m) cable with a standard telephone type connector is included.
