Dankoff SunCentric Pumps utilize solar-electric power to pump up to 50,000 gallons per day from shallow water sources. Various applications include irrigation, livestock watering, domestic water, pond management, water treatment, and fire protection. These pumps are fairly dirt tolerant and can deliver up to 70 GPM.
These centrifugal pumps have been in use since 1989. Many models can be used PV direct without batteries they do not require a pump controller or linear current booster (LCB). Check the model numbers, those ending in PV are panel direct those ending in B are battery models
Maximum suction lift is 10 vertical feet. You must use a foot valve if the pump is mounted higher than the water source so the pump does not lose its prime. For best reliability, place the pump low and close to the water source as possible, thus minimizing the possibility of cavitation which can cause excessive wear and loss of performance.
There is no routine maintenance required. The SunCentric pumps can easily be repaired in the field with ordinary tools and skills, without removing pipes. The instruction manual (included) shows the fully illustrated repair details
All Standard SunCentric Pumps feature a cast iron pump body and a polycarbonate impeller. The temperature limit for the standard SunCentric pumps listed here is 140°F
There are SunCentric pumps available as High Temperature Pumps, which raise the temperature limit to 240°F. The High Temperature versions have a brass impeller which reduces flow by about 15% using the same wattage.
